Luz Montiel - Artist

Born and raised in sunny California from 1958 to present. From the beautiful green farms of Salinas, California to the beautiful Whittier Hills in Southern California.

Beauty emerges when chaos and love intersect. Luz  Montiel has had an eclectic  lifetime of experiences. Her self-taught skill and philosophies of life transcend into her own art style of east meets west. Her tool is a Sharpie, but the execution has infinite possibilities. Her influences come from where she was born in Salinas, living her first years of her life in Watsonville Pajaro Valley California. Where she was surrounded by farms and hard working family of farmworkers. Additional influences came from where she was raised in East Los Angeles California. To the secret garden she shares with family and friends in Whittier. All together combine to create her artwork you see today . She pulls inspiration from Mother Nature and her love for life!
